This post is in response to Love In The Nest’s new linky idea, celebrating all the best bits of our week, all the little things that bring a smile to our faces and a glow to our hearts, counting our blessings, if you like. So here are the best bits of the past week. If you would like to join up with this linky, you can do so here.
Monday 16th: Today I unexpectedly met someone I haven’t seen for over three years. We didn’t have long to catch up but it was good to see her again if only in passing.
Tuesday 17th: Hubby was out for the evening so I had the whole time to myself to catch up with blogging, reading other people’s blogs and leaving comments.
Wednesday 18th: My writing course materials arrived today. I had to resist the temptation to tear open the package immediately as the little man and I were half way through doing something in the CBeebies magazine and in the four year old’s eyes that was clearly more important. When he was in bed I dived into the parcel and was impressed. I’m looking forward to doing this course.
Thursday 19th: The little man had two new friends over to play this afternoon and they all played really well. One is hopefully going to the same school that my son is hopefully going to. Good bonding opportunity.
Friday 20th: Lovely morning with friends at the local soft play centre. The children were entertained and linked up with other children to play, while we enjoyed hot chocolate, Victoria Sandwich and a good chat.
Saturday 21st: Today we all had a lovely afternoon at Nanny and Grandad’s house. Grandad has made a pair of stilts for the little man. They are about 4 inches off the floor. We all had a try on them, even Grandad. I retrieved from the storage shed several books from my Teaching English as a Foreign Language days which I think will help with the new writing course.
Sunday 15th: Very proud moment this morning when the tennis lessons from the last few months all seemed to coalesce in my son’s mind and he hit the ball more often than not.
I’m very nosy by nature so would love to know the best bits of other people’s week. Share your highlights too.
